FAQ

How long does it take to dry?

In optimal conditions, fog seal takes approximately 6 to 8 hours to dry. On cool days or in the shade, the time may be longer

What if I get it on my vehicle or on my clothing?

During application, the fog seal is very wet and sticky. If the liquid asphalt can be washed off immediately, it can be done using soap and water. If it has dried, try using a spot/stain remover that will remove tar and other oil-based stains like Goo Gone or Contractors Solvent. Generally, it can be wiped off easily, avoid scrubbing as that can damage the material or scratch your vehicle.

How will it look?

When first applied, fog seal will look black and very wet, once it dries it has a black matte finish

Can I wash or water my lawn?

24 hours before the fog seal is to be applied and at least 12 hours after the work has been completed, you should avoid any activity that will allow water to run off onto the road as it can delay or even ruin the curing process.

Can I walk or drive on the road right after it has been Fog Sealed?

No, you should not walk or drive on a road that has been fog sealed until it has been reopened. If it is not done drying, it will stick to everything that comes into contact with it (tires, shoes, feet, paws, etc.)
